Sadie & Oliver @ Thornham Hall & Thornham Coach House, Suffolk 23.04.16
I was delighted when Ollie & Sadie announced their wedding day and relieved when I was still available! Every wedding Eternal Images photograph is an honour but when is your close friends you can add extra pressure and excitement to the mix.
Ollie and Sadie invited my wife and I to their wedding day celebrations as close friends. They wanted me to photograph as a professional with the importance of informal coverage, as they insisted I enjoyed the celebrations as their guest as well.
My day started at the traditional pub The Four Horse Shoes with the guys. There was plenty of banter in the beer garden as everyone was in high spirits. A short drive away to Thornham Hall to meet Sadie (a very excited bride) and her bridesmaids who were busy preparing for the day ahead. Their wedding venue Thornham Coach House is situated within the grounds of Thornham Hall in heart of the Suffolk countryside.
Ollie shed a tear or two as Sadie walked down the isle in a vintage wedding dress after her beautiful bridesmaids who were dressed in purple. The chic ceremony room was a fitting backdrop to this wonderful couples emotional ceremony. Family and friends were clearly overjoyed as the newly weds were announced husband and wife.
At the request of Ollie and Sadie a few group shots with close family and the bridal party were captured. I then covered a brief bride and groom only portrait session before the start of wedding breakfast. The wedding breakfast was arranged inside a quaint marque where guests (including myself and my wife) enjoyed a noteworthy three course meal created by the venues 22 year old head chef. Speeches from best man Jim and our groom Ollie followed which were short but heartfelt, as not only did Ollie complement his bride but a toast was raised to his grandparents who were also celebrating 65 years!
Dancing followed as the accomplished live band began to play and evening guests started to arrive. I then arranged to have a few more moments with the newly weds outside in the evening light before Sadie and Ollie took to the dance floor for first dance and then cutting of their wedding cake.
For the first time ever the camera then went away as I enjoyed the evening celebrations catching up with familiar faces before it was time leave.
Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Evans! Here is your sneak preview…
