Beginning of April saw us photographing our first wedding at The Maynard Derbyshire http://www.themaynard.co.uk  It’s always exciting to photograph at a new location. This delightful boutique hotel restaurant venue is set in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park which only added to the venue’s appeal.

As all the day’s celebrations were to take place at The Maynard we were able to photograph both bride & groom preparations for the wedding day ahead.

Chatsworth suite with it’s with high ceilings, oak panelled walls and golden chandeliers was to be the location for the marriage and wedding breakfast. Elegance of this room was further enhanced by the wonderful room decor. Following a delightful ceremony, guests were able to relax in the gardens with a view as we took both formal and informal pictures prior to speeches.

After a few extra shots with the bridal party in the Maynard gardens we headed out for bride and groom only pictures. We had discussed visiting Padley Gorge, located very close to the venue in the evening to make the most of the light, during Adele & Oliver’s pre wedding shoot.

Last hour of daylight was nothing short of stunning and it was wonderful the newlyweds were more than happy to go a little off the beaten track for some stunning portrait images. It really was a fantastic photo session and it’s wonderful when couples are more than happy to embrace their surroundings and ideas that their photographer may have.

Adele and Oliver had been the perfect couple and we had enjoyed every moment of their wedding day; it was a genuine pleasure to be part of.

Thank you to the Maynard for their assistance and to Matt for his hard work and carrying of equipment out into the countryside!

Special thanks again to Adele and Oliver, many congratulations and I hope you enjoy your sneak preview…
