From the moment I heard about Jade & Phil’s wedding day plan I was hooked; a wedding celebration held in a woodland glade, surrounded by acres of forest and parkland. Add to this a wonderful couple who wanted to have a Bride & Groom Reveal. For those who are unfamiliar with this concept, the couples see each other before the ceremony. I have to say I love this idea, not only is it a wonderful moment for the couple in question it offers a unique series of images that are full of genuine emotion and love. Jade and Phil started their wedding day in different log cabins surrounded by family and their bridal party members. They were ready in plenty of time which enabled us a fifteen minute reveal photography session which was a new experience for us – one which I hope we have the chance to repeat.
There had been heavy rain on our drive down to Rosliston but thankful this cleared late morning which was perfect for the outdoor ceremony. Whether indoor or outdoor a wedding ceremony is a wonderful and emotional part of the day shared with family and friends. Following the ceremony we took group photos and plenty of informal pictures as guests soaked up the atmosphere both outside and in the Marquee. This had its own bar including a relaxation counter complete with settee. Having taken Bride and Groom only images before the ceremony we left the newlyweds to mix with guests before speeches which on our suggestion took place outside this offered more great photographic opportunities. The smell of BBQ had everyone heading for plates and drinks. Following on from the relaxing meal, the well delivered speeches commenced which were a mixture of laughter and tears.
As the evening party was underway there was some lovely evening light so as guests relaxed we had a walk to the nearby lake for further bride and groom only photos as guests enjoyed ice cream and a hog roast. A live band supplied music for a wonderful first dance as family and friends took to the dance floor. It had been an amazing wedding day to be part of and I would like to thank Rosliston for their assistance also thanks to Matt for his work on the day and to the wonderful Jade & Phil. I’m so happy that your wedding day was perfect and its one we loved being part of!
