Amy & Tom @ Tissington Hall

Amy and Tom’s wedding at Tissington Hall was nothing short of amazing! Tissington Hall was a new venue for me and what a fabulous location is was to share their celebration with close family and friends. Arriving for bridal preparations in this idyllic setting I met with Amy and her bridesmaids as they were getting ready in the stunning (and rather large) bridal suite, Amy had a beautiful bridal gown from The Whiteyard in Elsecarr and as the flower delivery arrived from Campel Flowers you could smell the Eucalyptus fill the room. I also headed over to meet Tom and the guys who had stayed in a nearby cottage in the village, a short walk from the main hall. Tom had chosen a bespoke tailored suit and was sharing a drink with his groomsmen to calm his nerves. St Mary’s Church (also in Tissington) was a short walk from Tissington Hall so guests and the bridal party walked up to the Church for a very heartfelt ceremony and personalised family blessing. I even must mention the Vicar who had a very original speech with ‘Toucan’ and ‘Elephant.’ Even though it was July, you just can’t rely on the weather as our newly weds left the Church it was raining. But guests embraced a confetti shot leading down the path back to the venue before everyone headed back to dry off during a wonderful drinks reception which included a live violinist and magician. The rain continued into the afternoon, but Amy and Tom embraced the weather and after a short portrait session within the hall, celebrations continued in the tastefully decorated marquee. Amy and Tom chose a ruffle cake to match their theme from The Snowdrop Cakery, Elsecarr. It looked amazing in the marquee! After a rollercoaster of speeches which involved both tears and a lot of laughter the rain had now stopped, and we ventured outside with Amy and Tom and all of their guests making the most of the wonderful grounds and rose garden that Tissington Hall has to offer. I really could go on! Cutting of the cake and first dance announced the evening celebrations had begun and there was some epic dance floor moves by both children and adults alike. I would like to say thank you to all the staff at Tissington Hall it was a pleasure to see a venue so well organised. A very big thank you to Amy and Tom for embracing the weather. I wish you all the best in your marriage, it was a genuine pleasure to photograph your wedding at Tissington Hall. Here is your sneak preview…
