On another hot August day we met the relaxed bride, Sarah and her bridesmaids at the family home for bridal prep photos; a well maintained garden provided further photographic opportunities. We left the ladies making final preparations for the big day ahead and took the short drive to St Nicholas Church High Bradfield which was adorned in garlands of flowers. This medieval church is nestled in the dramatic and picturesque Peak District.
The groom arrived with many of the guests in a wonderful 1930 bus. We took informal photos as guests admired the panoramic views over Bradfield dales along with groom and groomsmen photos. The beautiful bride and bridesmaids arrived via marvellous vintage Daimlers.
A modern ceremony included readings and the exchange of rings – Sarah and Jason were pronounced husband and wife. After a few group photographs the newly married couple and guests left in their vintage transport. We took advantage for photographs as the troupe of vintage vehicles arrived at Whirlowbrook Hall. As guests enjoyed the outside drink reception and games on the lawn we led Sarah and Jason into the grounds for bride and groom only photographs.
The wedding breakfast was served to the small and intimate group of family and friends in a very attractively decorated room overlooking the grounds. Speeches provoked much laughter and applause. Informal photographs were taken as the evening guests arrived along with further bride and groom only shots. Early evening it was time for cutting of the cake and first dance and wow what a first dance it was with plenty of people taking to the dance floor and certainly letting their hair down! After photographing everyone’s moves on the dance floor we ventured outside for a couple more bride & groom only photo’s as the evening light was fading and the sun was setting, what a magical end to a truly magical wedding day!! Extra big thank you to Sarah and Jason enjoy your sneak preview….
